The sky is the limit at Walt Disney Animation Studios – Way high in the sky, with “Gigantic,” Disney’s new and unique take on “Jack and the Beanstalk”!
“Gigantic” will feature music from the Oscar-winning songwriting duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the same masterminds behind the music of Disney’s hit “Frozen”. The talented husband and wife greeted D23 EXpo fans in their signature style, IN SONG, alongside director Nathan Greno (“Tangled”) and producer Dorothy McKim (“Get a Horse!”). Disney’s “Gigantic” is set in Span during the Age of Exploration, and follows adventure-seeker Jack, as he discovers a world of giants hidden within the clouds! Jack devises a grand plan with INma, a 60-foot-tall, 11 year old girl (giant!), and agrees to help her find her way home. What he doesn’t account for is her super-sized personality- and who knew giants were so down to earth?
Gigantic will take root in theaters in 2018.
