Ever since the beloved Maelstrom closed we’ve been hearing of a new “Frozen” attraction moving into the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. Disney has shared a first look at what’s coming when it the attraction opens in 2016.
This sparkling adventure for the whole family, “Frozen Ever After” will take you through the kingdom of Arendelle and into the enchanting world of “Frozen”. You’ll be able to experience favorite Frozen moments and music from the film, and in a new way with the help of Disney’s magical storytelling and technology.
Prepare to be transported to the Winter in Summer Celebration, and witness as Queen Elsa embraces her enchanting powers of ice and snow, and creates a special winter-in-summer-day for the whole kingdom! Visit Elsa’s magnificent Ice Palace and the realm of the North Mountain, and many scenes before returning to the Bay of Arendelle. Many favorite characters from Frozen will be a part of this new attraction, including the to cute for words Snowgies from the animated short “Frozen Fever”.
The Norway Pavilion will also have some expansions with peerless Norwegian architectural features. The redone interior design of the “Royal Sommerhus” will shine with cultural arts and crafts of Norway, to welcome you into a fascinating setting to meet Queen Elsa and Princess Anna!
I love that even though Frozen will be playing a large part in the Norway Pavilion that there will still be lots of Norwegian culture and heritage to still explore. I hope to see Anna and Elsa in their coronation day gowns at this re imagined meet and greet as well!!
