A Hidden Gem At Magic Kingdom You May Have Missed!

By Michelle | Updated on January 17, 2016

I have been to Magic Kingdom more times than I can possibly count and I am sure many of you have, as well. Do you ever feel like there is no way you have missed any hidden gems? I used to think that, too. That is, until yesterday. It turns out I found a hidden gem that many of you may have missed, like I did!

I had never actually eaten at Sleepy Hollow but, last night, we were in the mood for funnel cakes. As you can see on the menu above, there is more to be had than funnel cakes, all of which are delicious, from what I have been told. I can tell you the funnel cakes certainly are. This is not the hidden gem that I am referring to however.

See that doorway beside the beautiful painted umbrellas? This is called Heritage House. It is right behind Sleepy Hollow and across from the Christmas store. This area is an indoor eating area that has air conditioning/heat and many tables to enjoy any quick service delights you may have. Why didn’t I know about this? It was freezing cold last night and I wanted some warmth, which this room happily provided! It is decorated, almost like a dining room, with old knick knacks and some plants. I would never even have noticed it if I hadn’t turned around to look at the umbrellas.

I admit, I don’t spend a ton of time in Liberty Square. this may be a place many of you know all about and are now wondering why you even read my stuff, since you already know about it. My bad. If you didn’t know about it, I bet you are dying to stop there next time you are at Magic Kingdom!

Did you know about this area? What other hidden gems are there that we should be pointing out? Let us know in the comment box below!

It’s Tiana’s meet and greet spot during the day (at least it was in December, last time I was there) 🙂
