Sunday, April 22, was Earth Day, and it was also the 20th anniversary of Animal Kingdom! Merchandise commemorating this event has been available for a couple of months, but special “Day Of” merchandise popped up on Sunday.
Annual Passholders had the opportunity to purchase a tee and a tank commemorating both the anniversary and their status as passholders. Both items retail for $27.99.
A moss green tee in a unisex cut was a popular choice for the day. I especially liked that this shirt was specifically dated. It sells for $27.99.
For the little adventurers, there is a light green tee with different animals on the back. It says “The Most Epic Adventure.” This one is $24.99.
Two hats were released at the event. The first is a collector’s item. It comes in a linen covered box and features a real wood brim and certificates of authenticity. It’s quite unique and costs $75.
The second cap is more conventional. It features the 20th Anniversary logo and motto. It retails for $24.99.
Trading plastic grocery sacks for reusable ones is an easy way to reduce waste on our planet. This canvas tote is a fun way to relive your Animal Kingdom memories every time you go shopping! It costs $19.99.
Disney pins are a popular part of any special event merchandise. A dated pin, a hinged pin (with a picture of Walt!), an anniversary pin, and a Jumbo pin were all available on Sunday. The jumbo pin lived up to its description; it was as big as my hand! All of the smaller pins run between $15 and $17. The Tree of Life jumbo pin is $89.99.
