Annual Passholder Gift at Festival of the Arts

Epcot’s Festival of the Arts began this weekend with beautiful artwork, stunning performances, and delicious food. And in true Disney fashion, plenty of festival merchandise was released to commemorate this event. Beverage tumblers, clothing, art, books, and more are all available for purchase, but my favorite souvenir of the evening was absolutely free!

Each Annual Passholder who attends the Festival of the Arts is eligible to receive a free 8 x 10 piece of artwork. Belle is my favorite princess, so I was beyond excited to get this gorgeous print! The art starts out in a traditional style, but becomes more deconstructed until the bottom resembles splatter paint. The mix of structure and chaos calls to me; it’s a pretty good description of my personality, and I’m sure more than a few of you feel the same. Underneath the art, there is an embossed Annual Passholder insignia complete with Mickey head along with the name and year of the festival. It also reminds us that we are celebrating Epcot’s 35th anniversary.  There’s a lot packed into this little print! The print itself is on a heavy, slightly textured paper, and it is certainly suitable for framing. Each Passholder can only get one print for the duration of the festival, and the annual pass card and photo ID must be presented before receiving the art. Magic bands cannot be scanned to verify the pass, but I did notice that children were not asked to show any ID if they were with a verified passholder. The art is only available in the lobby of the American Adventure building. Cast Members are stationed outside the door and signs are easily visible to point you in the right direction. There is no word if the Belle print will be the only one offered during the festival. I’m anxious to see if other characters will pop up intermittently.

What do you think about this print? If you are an AP, are you planning on getting one on your next trip? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
