Bret Iwan’s Mickey Ear Hat Has Us Saying “Oh Boy!”

Hot diggity dog – Bret Iwan’s Mickey Ear Hat is releasing tomorrow, November 19, 2020 (or today depending on when you read this)! As announced on Bret Iwan’s Instagram, this newest addition to the Disney Parks Designer Collection arrives just in time to celebrate Mickey and Minnie’s 92nd birthday!

Bret Iwan is the official voiceover actor for everyone’s favorite mouse, so of course, his ears have to feature Mickey Mouse! The front of the hat is grey and black and has Mickey’s eyes, and the back of the hat has MMC in Mickey’s signature red and white. The ears are speakers – that are actually functional!

I thought that the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway Ear Hat was impressive with the light-up fireworks…but the new Mickey Ear Hat lights up AND has sound! When you push a button, the “On Air” recording sign at the top of the hat. You can also hear Bret Iwan’s voiceover work in action as he says, “Oh boy!” with Mickey’s signature laugh. The cleverness of all of the details in the Disney Parks Designer Collection never fails to astound me and these ears are definitely no exception.

Bret Iwan’s Mickey Ear Hat will be available for purchase at Walt Disney World, Disney Springs, Downtown Disney District in Disneyland, and online at ShopDisney! As with all of the Disney Parks Designer Collection ears, these are sure to sell out fast since they are limited release.
