I have been working on creating the most magical experience for the guests of my Disney wedding. I am creating a memorable experience for myself, obviously, but I want the experience to be incredible for my guests from the second they check in to their Disney hotel room. Disney welcome bags will be waiting with the most special treats and you can do this for your wedding or even a family reunion! Here is how you can create the perfect Disney welcome bags for your Disney celebration!
I am going to start with what goes into the tote and then I will explain where you can get affordable tote bags. I am enclosing all kinds of special Disney inspired treats for my guests but I am also including some essentials for a trip or gathering.
Things you can include that are free would include buttons straight from Disney. You can get them at guest services at the Parks, hotels or Disney Springs. I chose the “I’m Celebrating” buttons and I wrote Chip and Michelle’s Wedding on them!
Essentials for any trip would include a small container of antibacterial hand gel and I also got individual serving packages of acetaminophen and ibuprofen (that’s the nurse in me).
As for the Disney touches that aren’t free, I decided the mini figure lego packs would be perfect for the families coming with children. I also got candles that are themed around my Disney wedding. We are having a whimsical/mad hatter wedding and the Wonderland candles from WalterandRosieCandleCo are perfection! They smell incredible and the color is the most perfect pink! When these burn, they transform your home into a magical wonderland and I wanted people to have a souvenir of this incredible weekend. There are a ton of scents to choose from and, if you don’t see what you want, you need to inquire because they are great to work with!
It has been said that, in wedding welcome bags, you should include water, something salty and something sweet. I have purchased water bottle labels that will remind people of the reason they are there. I also found incredible labels for Hershey’s Nuggets that perfectly represent our wedding theme! I am making chocolate covered pretzel sticks with Mickey Mouse sprinkles on them, as well. I think I have the snacks properly covered.
As for the totes themselves, I got them at Michael’s in a package of 3 for $10.99, with the 40% off 1 item coupon they run weekly. That averages out to $2.20 per tote and they are reusable! I made labels for them welcoming them to the wedding and I am attaching them with ribbon to the handles. Not pictured above are the iron ons that I have custom ordered from Denile Arts on Etsy, that will add some themed pizazz to the outside of the bags (I have to leave some things a surprise!).
I am including custom Disney themed itineraries that I will be sharing on Instagram post wedding (I can’t give everything away now) but they are made to be like a Times Guide and I am super pumped. It will include the entire timeline of the wedding weekend to help guests navigate the event.
Do you see how easy it is to make Disney themed welcome bags for your celebration? I had a budget and I stuck well within it. I am beyond thrilled with how it turned out! What do you think of the ideas listed above? Let us know what you think in the comment box below!

I am having my Bachelorette Weekend in Disney and also made bags for my girls! My bags are canvas totes with D’s Bachelorette Weekend on them. Included is: lip balm, mini hand-sanitizer and mini lotions all with Tinker bell on them (all from etsy for $5 per package). I got them water bottles with their favorite character on them and their names and sunglasses with a small Mickey on the side. I am also including Tinker bell fruit snacks and monogrammed pj bottoms! What else should I do!?
