As we are in Black History Month, Disney presents Princesses reimagined with a diverse lens. The Doll collection premiered with 4 princesses, however, I’m positive more royalty will be joining them in the future. The stunning Creative Soul Dolls celebrate Black History Month and are bound to be collector’s items.
CreativeSoul Photography created the concept of the dolls. For over 10 years, the husband and wife team have used Afrocentric design elements to show the beauty and strength of diversity to celebrate youth of color. Cinderella Doll
From her sculpted hair to her redesigned slippers, Cinderella wows from head to toe. The enhanced dress utilizes golden tones to accentuate her ball gown. An ornate silver neckpiece replaces Cinderella’s traditional black choker. Fingerless gloves lead way to her coach handbag. I want one of those!
Tiana Doll
Take a trip to the bayou with the Tiana doll. Her green ball gown transforms with the use of geometric and ornate fabrics. Golden tones again used with this doll, both in her hair and jewelry. Make note of her handbag. It’s a beaded frog purse!
Rapunzel Doll
Find Rapunzel’s traditional locks beautifully braided and adorned with stunning flowers. Her brocade skirt features a sunburst with purple and gold tones. Make sure you zoom in on the pictures of her necklace and bracelets with stunning cuffs which feature the trademark sun on them. The best accessory in my opinion in her purse. A folded-over golden sun with 3-dimensional rays, complete with a tassel.
Snow White Doll
Snow White’s trademark blue and yellow gown finds floral and filigree fabric in the sleeves, bow and peplum. Beads used in both her jewelry, belt and arm bands. The famous red apple makes its appearance in her wrist bag.
