If you happened to be at Magic Kingdom or Epcot this weekend, chances are that you saw as many guests in suits and petticoats as in tank tops and shorts. Each park was the site of Dapper Day activities, and guests were dressed to impress!
I especially loved seeing all the fun accessories, with headwear generally making the biggest statements. Fascinators were very popular, and I heard the Hat and Mouse shop name quite a few times. They do lovely work!
Magic Kingdom celebrated Dapper Day with special cupcakes, photo ops, and a picnic lunch! The boxed lunch was sold at Tomorrowland Terrace, and guests were invited to sit on the green space facing the castle. Can you imagine a more perfect view for a picnic?
Magic Kingdom also had the Main Street vehicles available for guest photographs. It was such fun to have a trolley car all to myself!
On Sunday, Dapper Days moved to Epcot and celebrated with a separately ticketed event. The party was held in the Living Seas Lounge. Besides hors d’oeuvres and drinks, there was dancing and a mini-boutique consisting of Dapper Day merchandise, Pin-up Girl Clothing, Retromended, and Orlando Vintage. Each party guest also received a Dapper Day pin and mini-button.
Justin Jorgensen,, the founder of Dapper Days, was in attendance at both Magic Kingdom and Epcot. He did a meet and greet on Saturday at Magic Kingdom and then greeted each guest personally at the party in Epcot. He looked quite dapper on both occasions!
