Disney and Formula 1 are taking their “Fuel the Magic” collaboration in a meaningful new direction. Teaming up with Make-A-Wish, the brands have unveiled a pair of one-of-a-kind Mickey Mouse-inspired racing helmets that will help grant wishes for children living with critical illnesses around the world.

The initiative combines Disney storytelling, motorsport, and philanthropy in a way that is sure to capture the hearts of both Disney fans and Formula 1 enthusiasts.
A Helmet Designed to Make a Difference
The custom racing helmets were created in partnership with Bell Racing. Adding to the magic, they feature artwork by Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse! The project was brought to life under the creative direction of Bobby Kim, Global Creative Director for Disney Consumer Products.

The design features a sleek matte black finish accented with bold red and yellow graphics inspired by the speed and excitement of Formula 1. Mickey Mouse races across the helmet. Plus, a subtle Make-A-Wish star trails behind his shoe. Combine, they symbolizing the magic this collaboration hopes to create for children and their families.
Adding to its collectible appeal, each helmet is presented in a custom plexiglass display case and includes a certificate of authenticity signed by both Bret Iwan and Bobby Kim.
Signed by Formula 1’s Biggest Stars
One of the two helmets made its debut during the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone. It was signed by numerous Formula 1 drivers, including Make-A-Wish France ambassador Pierre Gasly.
That helmet will soon head to auction through F1 Authentics, operated under license by Memento Exclusives.
Auction registration opens on July 7, with bidding taking place July 11 through July 18. Net proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish International, helping grant life-changing wishes for children and families outside the United States.
Coming to D23 This August
If you’re attending D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim this August, you’ll also have the chance to see the second helmet in person. The stunning display piece will be showcased throughout the event. This gives Disney fans an up-close look at the incredible craftsmanship behind this unique collaboration.
Celebrating a Long-Standing Partnership
This special project also celebrates the decades-long relationship between Disney and Make-A-Wish. More than 45 years have passed since Disney helped fulfill the very first official Make-A-Wish at Disneyland. Since then, the two organizations have worked together to grant more than 175,000 wishes for children facing critical illnesses around the globe.
By combining the excitement of Formula 1 with the timeless magic of Mickey Mouse, this collaboration reminds us that some of the most meaningful moments happen when entertainment, creativity, and generosity come together for a greater purpose.
Whether you’re a Disney collector, a racing fan, or simply someone who believes in the power of a wish, this is one collaboration that’s racing straight to the finish line for a truly magical cause.
