By now, I am sure many of you have at least had the opportunity to see pictures and videos of Pandora: World of Avatar, since it’s opening day at Animal Kingdom. I had posted pictures of the media event I was privileged to attend for the reveal of Pandora at night. I Disney Bounded as a Woodsprite from the film. I wanted to share a few ideas with you, in case you are also wanting to Disney Bound at Pandora. It’s a whole new challenge!
In case you don’t remember what a Woodsprite is, allow me to remind you. Woodsprites are the seeds of the Tree of Souls that live on Pandora. These seeds, according to the Na’vi, are very pure and sacred spirits. I chose to Disney Bound as one because I thought it would stand out in the bio-luminescent forest. I was right!
The easy route to take, but not wrong, would be to Disney Bound as a Na’vi or Avatar. Blue shirt, tan shorts, khaki messenger bag…. boom! That’s what we did for my husband. I wanted to be something different. When re-watching the film, I thought this would make for a great couples Disney Bound… a Na’vi with a Woodsprite in the bio-luminescent forest!
For my look, I chose a white, flowy dress because that is what the Woodsprites look like to me… flowy. With that, I added a bio-luminscenet necklace and brooch that I turned into a bracelet. For the earrings, I chose a peacock design that I had noticed when I looked at pictures from the Na’vi River Journey attraction. They were almost identical. I found them on Amazon. The purse needed to bright and colorful but not distract from the rest of the look. I found the perfect wristlet online HERE. I even found blue sandals that had a tribal feel to them that were perfect to represent the Na’vi!
Of course, the piece de resistance was the Pandora inspired Mickey Ears. People were going crazy for them, as was I, to be honest. These Mickey Ears could be turned on and off so they looked fabulous during the day or at night, in the bio- luminescent forest. They looked stunning and tied the whole look together perfectly. It took a while to come up with the concept but it most certainly can be done. There are so many fabulous things to see in Pandora: World of Avatar that you will be able to find something perfect for you to Disney Bound as!
