You asked for it! Now, every Wednesday we’ll be featuring a Disney Bounding look to inspire you.
Next up: the Cheshire Cat. There’s something about his fuzziness and coziness especially this time of year (with the temps dipping low!) that wanted us to take on this challenge. Though he’s not from a Winter Wonderland, he’s from another Wonderland that oozes rich color palettes and vivid textures.
There were so many directions to go on this one! His bold pinks and purples provide a burst of color to the neutrals that have been dazzling this winter season.
We composed two – yes two!! – looks, based on one versatile purple skirt. We love the idea of taking an outfit from day to night, whether you’re park-hopping in your Disney Bounding attire or casually dining amongst friends for a birthday shindig. After all, whether it’s day or night, the Cheshire Cat is ALWAYS up to no good – and so should YOU!
For daytime adventuring Cheshire Cat:
The high waisted purple skater style skirt keeps the look both modern and fresh. The pink and purple trim polo is en pointe with the Cheshire’s color scheme. It also keeps to the daytime theme. I prefer tucking my shirt into my skirt for a more put-together look but the tee would also work pulled out.
Opt for pink/purple stripe socks pulled thigh-high to keep you warm or show a bit of skin by rolling socks lower to show a bit of your risque side! Add a pop of pink with these bubblegum bauble earrings.
As if you didn’t get the Cheshire message across already, a hot pink “cat” cross body bag and darling purple velvet “cat” ballet flats finish up the look. How cool is this Kate Spade cat activity tracker?! Now you can keep an eye on just how much mischievous you’ve been up to all day. It’s a tough life being a pestering Cheshire Cat!

For night-time mischief Cheshire Cat:
This time, the same high waisted purple skater style skirt amps up the sophistication. The night-time mischief look features a darker palette that the Cheshire Cat might disguise his stripes to while traipsing through the woods at twilight.
A hot pink blouse and lace cat ears add to the sophistication. Though the Cheshire Cat is known especially for his stripes, we wished to create a more demure look while staying true to his signature self. Hence the striped scarf that pays homage to his stripes and is just as cozy as the Cheshire.
We found these divine purple suede boots with gold sequin heels to anchor the look. Any ole boots wouldn’t do! The Cheshire Cat is known for his dazzling smile and you, too, will dazzle in these boots that were made for Wonderland walkin’. We don’t expect you to stow away Mad Hatter treats in your cheeks like the Cheshire, so we found a purse that is big enough to stow away any finds along your way.
