National Polka Dot Day is Monday, January 22, and Disney has given us a ton of merchandise themed to polka dotted perfection! Added to the Minnie spirit jerseys, Pandora set, and Dooney and Bourke collection are some all new Disney Boutique handbags. These capture Minnie’s playful side with whimsical colors and pop-art patterns.
The satchel style has brightly colored, oversized dots. There is an embossed Minnie on the largest dot, with an emphasis on her bow. And speaking of bows, my favorite part of this bag is the tiny bow hardware on the straps! This is such a sweet detail! The back of this bag is plain black with no dots, but it does include a longer shoulder strap. It retails for $90.
My favorite piece from this new collection is the wristlet. The front has Minnie with her famous bow along with polka dots interspersed with Minnie heads. The back has just the dot design. I honestly like the back just as much as the front! This wristlet is quite roomy. I tried it out in the store, and it held my iPhone 8 Plus, keys, card holder, lip gloss, and tissues! It also has card slots built in. This makes a great small bag on its own or a wallet used in a larger bag. And at only $25, this one is an amazing bargain!
Mini (or Minnie!) backpacks are so on-trend right now. They are both cute and practical! This one has a quilted front, Minnie ears, and the most adorable bow! This is a perfect park bag, and those colors make it versatile enough to wear with any outfit! This backpack retails for $70.
I’m quite partial to barrel bag silhouettes. I feel like they hold a ton while still staying compact. This barrel bag has the same polka dot/Minnie design seen on the wristlet, but the straps have the starring role! They are wide, bright red, and let the world know that you are rockin’ your dots! This one also has a longer shoulder strap. It worked as a crossbody on me, but I’m fairly short. It costs $75.
I absolutely love all the colors on this collection! If you’re looking for something a little less traditional (or a little more budget friendly) than the soon-to-be released Minnie Dooneys, this might be the perfect collection for you!
