Did you know that Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line to every produce a fireworks show at sea? It’s true! DCL has been lighting up the night since 1998. Now, the sky will shine even brighter this summer as a new fireworks display premiers on select itineraries.
The new show was created in honor of Disney Cruise Line’s 25th anniversary. This dazzling spectacle will be set to the tunes of iconic and beloved Disney music, and anchoring the show will be a brand-new signature song created especially for the anniversary sailings. Guests can expect to see this show on most Bahamian, Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises this summer. However, if you want to be sure that you don’t miss out, make sure to work with Small World Vacations so you know you are booking the right cruise!
Shimmering Soiree
Get ready to celebrate in style! A well-known cruising tradition of DCL is the Captain’s Reception. Now DCL is reimagining this event into a new, one-of-a-kind experience.
On one evening each cruise (7 nights and longer), guests will be invited to join their ship’s captain and cruise director in the atrium for an anniversary toast. The festive affair will feature appearances from Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse — dressed for the occasion in their shimmering new looks, of course!
Limited Edition Castaway Club Gift
Now, this is one announcement that I am super excited about. I love free stuff! If you have ever sailed with Disney Cruise Line before, you are part of the best club on the high seas – the Castaway Club. All Castaway Club members that sail during the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” this summer will receive a limited-edition framed art print in their stateroom to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime celebration (while supplies last). One 11×14 framed print will be delivered per stateroom. DCL better get ready for the Disney Fashionistas, because there are four of us coming aboard and I know we are all going to want that print.
