Disney Discovery- Art of Coloring Disney Animals

Adult coloring books are ALL the rage right now! However you decide to unwind, Netflix & chill, reading, hikes and walks on the beach, or coloring in books, R&R time is a MUST. Adult coloring books became en vogue as a way for adults to quiet the internal chatter of their minds and provide stress-free solitude.

When you’re feeling crafty but lacking inspiration of your own accord, you can turn to coloring books to funnel your focus. In this crazy ever-busy world, I often have to remind myself to slow down and enjoy the moment.

What I have come to appreciate in this surge of the adult coloring book trend is that it doesn’t have to be done in one sitting! The intent is not to rush through to reach a finished product; completing the pages should be a timely, enjoyable task.

But hey, once the pages ARE finished, they do make for nice wall art and framed gifts to give!

Today’s Disney Discovery is the Art of Coloring Disney Animals decorating book.

Divided into three segments of Heroes, Villains, and Side-kicks, the coloring book features some of our favorite animals from Brave, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations, Bambi, The Lion King, Dumbo, The Aristocats, and SOOOO much more.

Unlike coloring books for children, these coloring pages feature intricately detailed black and white doodles, requiring fine point pens, markers, or pencils to get in every nook and cranny. The books touts, “You do not have to be a van Gogh or Picasso to enjoy this book… All you need is a love of Disney animals and creatures…”

Unfortunately the designs are printed on both sides, making you choose one over the other to display on your walls. Though we have not yet tested coloring on both sides of the page, we are leery, too, that doing so might have colors bleeding through. Per reviews, we have heard that alcohol-based markers bleed through and water-based markers, gel pens, and India ink pens do not bleed through!

Many designs are spread across two pages, making coloring design portions across the binding difficult as well as making it difficult to remove from the sewn binding and lining back up.

Drawbacks aside, the book is a steal for your wallet and mind at only $9! It is the perfect gift for groups! Even if the designs remain tucked away in the hardback covering, the book makes for a beautiful coffee table conversation piece that guests may even want to add to.

If you want to get coloring in your very own copy of the Art of Coloring Disney Animals, you can find the book HERE.
