Star Wars fans across the globe are gearing up for the release of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” To help young fans celebrate the film, Disney store is running a video contest for kids. Fans can pick up a free starter pack and stop-motion “how to” video.
This weekend, Star Wars fans can pick up a free “My Rogue Story Video Starter Pack.” Each pack features a unique backdrop and die-cut characters. Kids can create their own original 2-minute videos inspired by the upcoming “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” film.
The starter packs are available at Disney Store locations, and more information on the contest can be found at Disney.com/MyRogueStory.
Now let’s be honest, as an adult I have no idea how to make a stop motion film. So, to help kids with their stories, Disney Store released a free online video tutorial providing step by step instructions. I think this is a great way to get kids involved in a new hobby!
To further fan the Star Wars flames, Disney Store locations (excluding Outlets) hosted in-store events on Oct. 1 at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., as well as on Oct. 2 at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. During these vents, Guests can join the Rebel Alliance to help obtain the plans for the Galactic Empire’s weapon, the Death Star.
