Last year the Disney Store released a fun Forever Disney collection inspired by popular Disney films from the 90s, and we all fell in love. Now you can find a new Disney Throwback Collection at the Disney Parks inspired by Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid.
This fun collection features t-shirts, and wallets inspired by the cover art of the original video cassette cases! Gosh, do you remember those clunky plastic boxes? Aaah, memories! These VHS tapes were so precious to many of us, that we held onto the boxes long after VCRs were pretty much retired.
The shirts each have a distressed vintage feel to them, with burnout textures, and faded fabrics. Each top has a different cut as well!
The Aladdin inspired top is a burn-out tank, with faded trim around the collar and arms. This tank has a feminine cut but still has a relaxed fit.
For The Little Mermaid top, it has the same burn-out type material, with different colored sleeves, and trim. The sleeves for this tee have a cuff to them, that adds a cute touch.
The Lion King tee doesn’t have the burn-out fabric, but more of a distressed pre-wash material. The shoulders have a fold over style, and the design on this tee has a faded vintage look.
My favorite is the wallets that are made to look just like the VHS cassette cases! These are zip around wallets that resemble the original jacket covers for these beloved moves.
The inner lining even has a videotape graphic inside! There are also compartments for holding your cards, and ID too. They were such a cute idea, and really look like they could have been created from repurposed video boxes.
The Disney Throwback Collection is available at select locations throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World now!
