Disney Villains know how to make an entrance, and now three of our favorite fashionable troublemakers are bringing their signature style to DIFF Eyewear! The Disney Villains x DIFF Eyewear collaboration features three pairs of sunglasses inspired by Cruella de Vil, Maleficent, and Ursula.
Disney Villains x DIFF Eyewear
DIFF describes its Disney styles as taking cues from the “timeless, confident, and unique energies” of the characters, and these Villains designs definitely understood the assignment. Each pair feels distinctly different, making the hardest part deciding which Villain era you want to embrace.
Cruella de Vil Sunglasses
The Cruella de Vil Sunglasses might be my favorite of the bunch. Cruella’s signature black-and-white color palette translates perfectly to the spotted tortoise frames. The cat-eye-inspired silhouette gives them an appropriately dramatic shape, while the grey gradient lenses and white arms keep the whole design unmistakably Cruella. There is even a pop of red along the temples for another nod to her iconic look.
Maleficent Sunglasses
If you prefer your villainous fashion with a little more dark magic, the Maleficent Sunglasses are calling your name. These black frames feature a sharply angled silhouette that immediately makes me think of Maleficent’s horns. Detailing along the arms adds just enough color and gives the design a sophisticated finishing touch. They’re dramatic without looking like costume accessories, which makes them incredibly wearable.
Ursula Sunglasses
Then we have the Ursula Sunglasses, and these are certainly not for poor unfortunate souls who want to blend into the crowd! I love that DIFF didn’t simply put character artwork on three pairs of sunglasses and call it a Villains collection. Each design incorporates recognizable colors, shapes, and details from its character while still looking like fashionable eyewear you could wear every day.
