I love desserts and like to think of myself as a connoisseur of Disney treats. Surprisingly, I never got around to trying the giant cookies they sometimes had at Polite Pig because they always sold out. Those cookies will be much easier to get now because the much anticipated Gideon’s Bakehouse opened at Disney Springs!

Gideon’s Bakehouse is located a stone’s throw from Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar and as soon you spot the gargoyle perched on the roof, you know this bakery is different. The theming, like most places in Disney, is completely immersive and transports you to another time. There are cute/creepy portraits on the wall and bookcases filled with old hardcover books and interesting knick-knacks. I know this is a Disney blog but it’s giving me serious Harry Potter vibes! And then, you spot the bakery case filled with their famous nearly half-pound cookies (yes, half-pound!) and slices of cake that rival the ones in the Disney movie Pollyanna.
The cookies cost $6 and come in flavors like Original Chocolate Chip, Coffee Cake, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Cookies and Cream. Keep in mind that there is a six cookie limit per person so that everyone gets a chance to try them, The jumbo cake slices cost $9 and come in flavors like True Red Velvet and the Daily Chocolate Slice (changes daily). They also serve cold brew coffee and plain milk because there’s nothing better than milk and cookies!
