The California wildfires have affected as many as 200,000 residents of the Greater Los Angeles area. With more than 12,000 buildings and 40,000 acres burned, the destruction is devastating. Disney introduced a Fund Raiser today that allows you to assist communities affected. Give a hand to Help Wildfire relief and be LA Strong.
Being a long-time resident of the Los Angeles area, The Walt Disney Company personally feels the pain. They’ve come together to support both their employees and families nearby in multiple ways. You can join in the effort with their new LA Strong t-shirt.
Available on either black or white shirts, the design showcases Mickey in his welcoming stance. Next to him bold letters read the motivating “LA STRONG.” Retailing for $30, Disney will donate $25 from every shirt sold in the US through the end of 2025 to the American Red Cross to help people affected by the wildfires in California. Another way The Disney Company is assisting the area is through a $15 million donation to immediate response and rebuilding efforts according to their community giving website. Disney Entertainment Television also opened up its Wardrobe Warehouse of new or gently used clothes at no expense. Disney VoluntEARS assembled hundreds of Disney-themed comfort kits for children staying in American Red Cross shelters.
