I have made no secret that I am a lover of the Beautifully Disney line of cosmetics. I have covered all the releases since I started my blog and was wearing them long before that. You can imagine my surprise when I was hoping to see the fabulous Beautifully Disney counter at Marketplace Coop, just to discover there are big black curtains in it’s place. So, the question is, where is the Beautifully Disney counter and is it being discontinued??
There are not a lot of answers in regards to this question, even when I ask around at Downtown Disney itself. It seems that the location that used to be the Beautifully Disney area (which I wrote about in detail a few months ago), is now going to be the WonderGround Gallery. The WonderGround Gallery is set to open March 6-7, 2015, so there is no turning back! Even when asked on Disney Parks Blog about the relocation of Beautifully Disney, the answer is vague, stating that you can still find some merchandise in Parks stores or you can call the WDW merchandise line and they may be able to assist you in locating some of the merchandise.
The fact that there hasn’t been a new collection in several months, since Frozen, and there would have been a wonderful opportunity to do something for Valentine’s Day gives me a clue that something is definitely going on here. The collections were released with a couple of months between, in the past, and that means we are behind. With the lovely store being ripped apart and no new releases my conclusion is that we are going to see Beautifully Disney disappear. It was a lovely collection but many people didn’t grasp the fact that it was Disney makeup made for adults, not children, in pretty packaging,. The price reflected that it was a higher end line made for adults and many people still complained that it was too expensive for children. The makeup artists at the Beautifully Disney store had told me that in the past. This makes me very sad.
I’m sure the new WonderGround Gallery will be a huge success and that the grand opening this coming weekend will be amazing. I, myself, will be saddened that I won’t get to sample and buy the wonderful new makeup collection by Beautifully Disney.

I agree that I think people didn’t realize the makeup was high end make up aimed at adults. I just saw MAC released a Cinderella line in collaboration with Disney and the release of the movie and it was selling very well. I believe that if Disney had collaborated with MAC or another makeup brand or store like sephora or Ulta and had that in the name (Beautifully Disney by MAC, etc) it would have appealed more to the adult market. Sad to see it go!

They have before! Sephora had a Disney line (Cinderella, Jasmine and Ariel were all done), but it was discontinued as not to compete with Beautifully Disney. Maybe it will come back now?

I am hoping that we will see more collaborations with MAC, Sephora and however else. I will be on the look out and let you know what I find!
