It was 4 years ago that we announced the breaking news of the new Shop Disney Parks App and fashionistas everywhere rejoiced! What an incredible way to buy things from the parks while not being able to be there! Well, it was nice while it lasted but we will be saying goodbye to the Shop Disney Parks App on May 31st.
At first glance this made me sad but if any of you check the app as frequently as I do you will have noticed that it wasn’t getting most of the merchandise that just released anyway as of late. The new merchandise is going straight to shopDisney. The only problem I had with that was the fact that you couldn’t use your annual passholder discount.
It appears the annual passholder discount problem may have been resolved. As the Shop Disney Parks App disappears, the shopDisney site and App will have new upgrades that will make shopping awesome. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will also continue to receive eligible discounts when shopping from My Disney Experience. I can hear the huge sigh of relief from my fellow fashionistas now.
Another thing I was worried about was the fact that you can scan barcodes on the Shop Disney Parks App and find out where an item is located in the Parks. At Walt Disney World Resort, My Disney Experience will continue offering popular shopping features guests have come to love such as the product availability map or the ability to ship select merchandise to home (U.S. addresses only) when you order through the My Disney Experience. Phew!

If you are looking for merchandise from Disney Parks on shopDisney, I suggest these two options depending on if you are using the app or web to shop: push the “Shop” button at the bottom of the shopDisney app and look for the “Disney Parks” category, or look for the “Parks” tab on the main page of shopDisney.com.
