To say I am excited about going on the Disney Treasure is an understatement! I am more than ready to check out the Haunted Mansion bar on night one!
Did I mention that my cruise is booked for my birthday? Literally, the day we board I will be turning (well, you don’t need to know that). I think the perfect way to celebrate will be with a few cocktails at the Haunted Mansion Bar! I have been waiting for today’s announcement and it did not disappoint!
From the looks of the video released on Disney Parks Blog HERE, this will be in the same space where the Star Wars bar is on the Disney Wish. This means it will be a smaller bar but packed with awesomeness! There will be merchandise and special drinks…. not to mention hitchhiking ghosts!
The one-of-a-kind experience will be a swinging wake unlike any other, that of a jovial captain who entered the ghostly realm after a disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancé. I mean, that’s a movie I want to watch! Could that be the theme of a new Haunted Mansion movie?!
The Haunted Mansion Parlor looks like a first-class drawing room of a classic cruise liner from the golden age (anyone else ready to rewatch Titanic?). It’s like a nautical twist on one of my favorite attractions! There will be nostalgic tributes to Haunted Mansion attractions around the world (like my favorite version in Paris), and even the iconic wallpaper will be featured!
Based on the images, it looks like we will see the hitchhiking ghosts and some new seafaring arrivals, in a portrait gallery depicting the Disney Treasure’s own ghostly residents. I simply cannot wait!
There are some takeaways from this experience… merchandise! you know I am here for that! As shown on DPB:
- The Haunted Mansion Parlor Music Box will be a keepsake inspired by an eerie music box that will be found inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor. As the rumors go, this mysterious box belonged to the captain’s bride-to-be and only opens in the presence of malevolent spirits.
- Inspired by the old grandfather clock from the original Disney Parks attraction, the Haunted Mansion Parlor clock will evoke the nostalgic allure of the Haunted Mansion.
- And, a ghost may even follow you home on your voyage… The Haunted Mansion Parlor Mirror will offer a frightening surprise when the hitchhiking ghosts mysteriously appear in the frame.
Now, after all of this, shouldn’t we be talking about those drinks I will be having? There will be a Signature beverage, Ghoulish Delight (non-alcoholic), and Sympathetic Libations. based on the recipes that you can find on the Disney Parks Blog, I am going to be trying all 3 but my favorite sounds like it will be the Signature Beverage. it just makes my mouth water! Of course, the Ghoulish Delight also sounds wonderful. It’s purple and it shimmers! How can I not try that?!
