Ornaments play a large part in my Christmas decorations. Of course they’re on my tree, but I also stack them in glass bowls and vases, hang them from light fixtures, and place them on windowsills. I love to mix styles and colors, and I’m always on the lookout for unique pieces to add to my collection. The newest ornaments to hit World of Disney are stunning, and I can’t wait to bring a few home with me!
In terms of elegance, it is hard to beat this gorgeous glass ornament with navy and gold accents. A kissing Mickey and Minnie dressed in their holiday best skate on a sparkly snowdrift. The details on this one are exceptionally lovely; there is a small, crystal Mickey head on the base of the ornament and a tiny Christmas tree charm dangles from the gold satin bow.
The gold accents are carried through to the next Mickey and Minnie ornament as well. This one has elements of a snow globe combined with the feel of a 60s vintage look. Mickey and Minnie have a retro look too and are dressed as Santa and Mrs. Claus. There is a small gold Mickey head on the middle of the ornament. Even though it looks as if this might open, the seam is only there for decoration, so you don’t have to worry about losing your snow.
Even more gold can be found on this pinecone ornament. We get a peek inside the pinecone and see Mickey and Minnie decorating their very own tree. This reminds me of ornaments that my grandmother had on her tree, so it plays off the nostalgia factor as well as being beautiful in its own right.
Castles are my weakness; I just can’t get enough of them! This one reminds me of Elsa’s ice palace. The castle is made of wood with silver and gold accents. There is even a tiny, snow-dusted tree to give it more dimension. Snowflakes adorn the glass dome and the base and add a touch of sparkle.
If your style is more fun than elegant, there are some delightful ornaments for you too! The holographic trend is so hot this year, and Disney found a way to incorporate it into Christmas. This ornament would look so pretty against the sparkle of Christmas lights. And the saying “Meet me under the mistletoe” is just adorable!
The match to the holographic ornament is this red one featuring Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell is another favorite of mine, and I love that she is lighting up the holiday and sprinkling pixie dust all around!
I’m sure that Disney will be releasing several more new ornaments before the holiday season officially starts, but they are off to a great start! I think my favorite is the holographic Mickey head. Tell us your favorite one in the comments!
