Have you ever seen the Broadway musical version of The Lion King? I have been blessed to see it numerous times. I even got to sing on the stage with some of the cast many, many years ago thanks to a dear friend that works in the industry. I know how hard they work and the transformations they undergo to pull off such an incredible show. I thought maybe you would like to see it for yourself!
Inspired by the looks of the Broadway musical THE LION KING, the team at Disney Style transformed an average woman into high-fashion versions of Nala, Rafiki, Zazu and Scar – in under one minute.
In the video that was released just yesterday, the high-production hair, makeup and wardrobe evolution sought to capture the spirit of the animals from the beloved animated film mixed with the incredible costumery of the musical, which is traveling across North America in a multi-city summer tour. In fact, one of our writers just saw it this past week in her area.
Although the time-lapse video is beautifully condensed to a single minute, the shoot takes up every last second of a 12-hour production day. The model in this video was in the chair from about 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Can you even believe that? That’s absolutely insane!
