Why is it, that the day after I return home from a trip to Walt Disney World, the new merchandise is revealed and even released on the Shop Disney Parks App from the 45th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom? There are, of course, only a few things available this moment (like the Dooney and Bourke bags) but, as soon as September 22nd, we will start to see some of this merchandise in select stores and the remaining merchandise the first week of October!
Let’s start with the 2 items that I found as soon as I searched for “Magic Kingdom.” The 45th Anniversary Magic Kingdom bags from Dooney and Bourke are amazing! The images are those of our favorite attractions or characters around the Park including Dumbo, the castle, It’s A Small World and The Enchanted Tiki Room. Let’s not forget Mickey Mouse, of course! These bags are available now on the App and are said to be in select stores at the Magic Kingdom September 22nd.
Many of the logo products, including apparel, open edition pins, home goods and more, will be released in select locations at Magic Kingdom on September 22, along with the Dooney and Bourke bags. A lot of people fell in love with the artwork so I know these tee shirts will sell like hot cakes!
Other merchandise will appear at the Emporium on Main Street USA on October 1st. When I was there this week, I did ask about the merchandise and they said they had not seen it yet so I doubt it will be released surprisingly on the 22nd like some of the other merchandise. Finally, guests can visit the Disney Parks online store from October 1-9 to find limited release t-shirts celebrating the 45th Anniversary. Several of the shirts will feature classic attractions that have been at Magic Kingdom since 1971. You will need to allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.
A new Pandora charm will also be available, come October, to commemorate the 45th Anniversary. I don’t have a better picture yet but I promise to keep you informed, as I get the info. It looks to be a dangle charm of the castle. I am guessing we will find a 45 on it, when we get a better look.
