Earlier this week, Shinola teased a new Mickey Mouse inspired collection on their Facebook page. I’m already a Shinola fan, so I’m over the moon about this latest collaboration. And once you see the teaser image, I’m sure you will be too!
What is Shinola you ask? Well, as a Michigan based girl, I will tell you all about it!
Shinola is an American luxury goods brand based in Detroit, Michigan. It produces watches, bicycles, and leather goods, among other products. Founded in 2011, Shinola takes its name from the defunct Shinola shoe polish company. Shinola’s mission is to build a modern and quintessentially American consumer products brand through the reintroduction of domestic manufacturing at a scale that can shape culture, create community, and deliver goods of the highest quality that are built to last.
Almost every year, my sister buys her husband a beautiful Shinola watch. In return, she has a few leather purses and wallets lining her closet shelves. I’ve never been anything but impressed by the quality and designs of Shinola products. That is why I’m so excited about this Mickey Mouse collection!
Here is the Facebook post that kicked things off.
Classic. Iconic. Original. Yep, that sure does explain Mickey Mouse in a nutshell!
There is no news yet on whether the new collection will stick to just Shinola’s leather goods, or if the collection will also encompass watches. You can be sure I’ll be watching the news for updates though!
