Minnie Mouse and Gray Malin Rock the Dots in Art

By Jacqueline S | Updated on January 20, 2017

2017-01-20 20_14_47-Minnie Style (@minniestyle) • Instagram photos and videos

Have you checked out photographer Gray Malin’s Rock the Dots Minnie Mouse video? Not to be confused as a Target commercial – the video features all things Minnie appropos – red, white, and polka dot, with choreography by Mary John Frank.

Malin took notes from the style icon’s polka dot dress and reimagined those dots as fine art using parasols, with dancers moving in formation to create a webbed dot. The pop art feel and the dancers’ formal evening wear remind us of Old Hollywood, which is just as classic as our dear Minnie. Don’t forget to #RocktheDots this Sunday for National Polka Dot Day.
