Minnie’s Holiday Dine has always been one of my favorite character meals. I look forward to it every holiday season! This year, I was nervous about all of the changes that have been made due to the pandemic. No need to worry, fashionistas! Minnie’s Holiday Dine has a new look and feel and it is still magnificent!
When you enter the restaurant, there is still a photo op… it’s just not with Santa Goofy. Do not fear! Santa Goofy is still there! You just have to get a socially distanced photo. He is still filled with holiday magic! (Yes, that is snow you see in the picture, no it’s not part of the experience. We added a filter to our pic!)
If you are familiar with this restaurant, you may be used to the incredible buffet that used to be there. Buffets are currently a thing of the past but, not to worry, the fact it’s family style does not ruin the experience. There is still far more food than one person can eat! Salad and bread are brought to the table first, to get you ready for the main event.
The menu for Minnie’s Holiday Dine can be found here on Disney’s site HERE. My friends and I consist of an interesting group as there were two vegetarians and two shellfish allergies. What this should tell you is that the menu is extensive enough to make many palettes happy!
The vegetarians chose this delicious macaroni and cheese!
I, on the other hand, had the carved herb roasted turkey breast or, as I call it, Thanksgiving dinner on a plate. It was incredible!
There were five choices of dessert including apple blueberry pie, cherry lemon pie, chocolate s’mores pie, banana cream pie and (my choice)Vanilla Crème Brûlée.
The characters are so cute, dressed in their holiday attire! Pluto was adorable in his peppermint dog tag and antlers. Minnie looked stunning. I would have gladly purchased a replica of Minnie’s dress for myself! Mickey is one dapper mouse! All in all, though you can’t get up and take pics with the characters, the experience is still magical.
I do hope that things will return to “normal” next year but, if it doesn’t, I will happily return to Minnie’s Holiday Dine next year.
