Forty years ago, the Muppets Took Manhattan. It’s time they got on the road again, don’t you think? Disney agrees! Move over Aerosmith the Muppets Will Take over Rock N Roller Coaster.
Last summer, D23 announced several new lands at the Disney Theme parks across the world. The World of Monsters, Inc drew much speculation regarding where it would go. The wait is over. Plans were announced today that Muppets 3D Vision will be closing down in order to make way for Monsters, Inc. Land. This new space will incorporate shopping, dining, a new theatre show and the first suspended roller coaster at a Disney theme park. This area promises to be a place where you can happily walk the streets with some of your favorite monsters. Visit the factory where laughs power the city of Monstropolis. For those of us who have always dreamed of riding on one of the doors through the factory, now is your chance.
Move Over Aerosmith
But Muppet fans, don’t worry. They are not leaving Hollywood Studios for good. Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzy, and the gang will be moving down to Sunset Blvd. The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, joining with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival! Don’t you know Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem will be right at home in the new space! This also makes the first Disney ride to feature the Muppets. There’s more than music being made; history is being made! And don’t you know there will be new music involved with the retheming of the ride?
There is still time to take in the original rides as they currently are. If you’d like to book a trip before the change, reach out to Small World Vacations HERE to book a vacation. They’ll gladly help you plan a trip before the Muppets say Move over Aerosmith!
