The Disney Parks Blog just released more info about the new Disney Park Pass Reservation System at the Walt Disney World Resort! We already knew that during the phased reopening, there would be a new reservation system in place for park admission, but now we know more about how it will work!
Disney Park Pass System
This new system will help manage attendance during the phased reopening by requiring Guests with tickets or Annual Passes to make a reservation in advance to be able to enter the parks. The online tool will be available at DisneyWorld.com! You will need a My Disney Experience account and valid park tickets or an Annual Pass linked to your account. If you have a Disney Resort Hotel reservation, make sure that is also linked to your My Disney Experience account!
After linking your relevant tickets and resort reservations, you will be able to log into your account and see a calendar of available reservation dates for each theme park. Guests with multi-day tickets will have to make park reservations for each day of their visit. Friends and families will also be able to link their tickets together so that they can arrange theme park entry at the same time. Remember, reservations are limited and subject to availability. Until the reservation is finalized, availability can change.
Guests will only be able to choose one park per day, so park hopping will not be an option during this phased reopening due to the admission limitations. If you already have tickets that include the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus Option, you will have options available to modify or cancel your tickets. Updated info will be posted about this HERE!
Existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders will be contacted beginning this week with information about when they can access this new system to check for park reservation availability. The system will become available to Guests in phases. Guests with future Disney Resort (and other select hotel) stays will be first. Later in the summer, we can expect to see 2020 ticket sales and resort reservations resume.
By June 28th, everyone will be able to purchase Disney Resort Hotel packages and park tickets for arrivals in 2021, and Guests will be able to view park reservation availability before purchasing tickets.

MagicBands
We are also looking forward to updates to the My Disney Experience mobile app that will include new MagicBand features like the digital key feature! Unfortunately, this also means that complimentary MagicBands will not be issued to Guests with reservations beginning January 1st, 2021. Guests will still be able to purchase MagicBands in advance at a discount, and there will be plenty of new colors and designs to choose from! You will also still be able to purchase MagicBands at retailers throughout the resort! If you don’t want to purchase a MagicBand or use your phone, you will receive a Key to the World card to use during your trip.
Make sure you check back for updates HERE! You can even send questions to my friends over at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
