Hey there, Fashionistas! Do you scream for sparkle? Are you obsessed with over-the-top bling? Are you ready for a brand new Snow White and Seven Dwarfs Collection? Okay, enough rhetorical questions, I have some designer fashion news to share with you!
London based designer, Mary Katrantzou just released a brand new collection featuring some of the stars from Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. As you know, the film is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and many designers are celebrating the iconic film and Disney’s first very Princess.
The new collection is really focused on the Seven Dwarfs, which I think is great! Snow White does tend to get a lot of attention and the Dwarfs are just as important. And they definitely SHINE in this new designer collection. Katrantzou is all about bright colors and easy-to-wear pieces. These pieces just happen to be completely covered in sequins.
“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs belongs, unquestionably, to pop-culture and each dwarf expresses one aspect of human emotion. This collection is a reinterpretation of these iconic characters in today’s world,” explained Katrantzou on FashionNetwork.com.
The collection features t-shirts, dresses, sweaters and bomber jackets, all embroidered and bedazzled to highlight favorites including Bashful, Doc, Sneezy, Happy, Grumpy, and Dopey.
Katrantzou’s collection was designed elusively for Colette and will be available through December 20th. If you are lucky enough to visit the actual boutique in Paris (take me with you!), the new collection will be accompanied by a window display that will also include a video element. Can’t make it to Paris? The collection will be available to shop on Colette’s website starting November 25th.
