The fantastic thing about Disney ears is that there is a pair for everything; Food, Drinks, Characters, Rides, and Resorts! Dole whip? There’s an ear! Space Mountain? Yup! Stitch ears? You betcha! No matter what your mood, there’s an ear for that. Recently restocked at Pop Century are the themed ears for the resort. These ears are “Pop”ular
Rocking around Pop Century is everything pop culture and Disney related dating from the 1950s to the 1990s. It might be a value resort but it’s deluxe in theming. The 1950’s feature a bowling ball, juke box, and Lady and the Tramp (released in 1955). Play-doh, yo-yo’s, and Baloo and Mowgli (released 1967) can be located in the 19060s themed area. Every child’s dream phone of the 1970s, the Mickey phone, can be found in the 1970’s along with giant foosball and Humongous Big Wheel. Be totally Rad in the 1980s with the Walkman, Rubik’s Cube, and Roger Rabbit (released 1988). Be “da bomb” in the 1990s section with computers and Cell phones.
Now that I’ve given you a brief tour of the resort you can get a better understanding of the ears. The Pop Century ears feature sequin records as a nod to the juke box in the 1950s section of the resort and are accentuated with a floral bow that gives homage to the 1960s. Flower Power Fashionista! “POP!” is center in the middle of the bow, coming out of a cartoon bubble.
