The other day, as I was browsing through Etsy at work (shh…don’t tell my boss!), I came across the RainbowRules shop and I fell in love.
And I don’t mean the “that’s cute” kind of love. I mean the “OMG I WANT EVERYTHING AND I WANT IT NOW!” kind of love.
After I wiped the drool off of my keyboard, I knew that I had to let you all know about this awesome find so that you could be a part of the magic. I contacted the shop owner, Julia, and maybe sounded like a bit of a crazy person, but she was so nice and let me know a little bit more about her and her store.
Julia is originally from the UK but is currently living in Hong Kong, so you know that she sees some awesome fashion every day. Her love for Disney started at a very early age.
“I feel like I have a long history with Disney, and my mom often jokes I loved Disney before I was born! When my mom was 4 months pregnant with me, she and my dad took a long trip to California, and they visited Disneyland for the very first time. My mom often tells me she LOVED LOVED LOVED it and is convinced her emotions and euphoria must have transferred to me in the womb!”
Julia has visited Disneyland, Walt Disney World, as well as Disneyland Paris and combines all of these different parks into her designs.
“I studied for my fine art photography degree after high school, but it was hard to actually find a job in that field. I branched out, did graphic design and web design as well, and worked for a portrait studio, photographing weddings and newborn babies. But, I felt a pull towards different styles of photography and art, and eventually got a job as a website product photographer for a UK high street retailer. This re-ignited my love for fashion and clothes, inspired me to try and design my own clothes, and put me on the path to get where I am now – combining my skills and history in photography and graphic design, with my love for cute and comfortable clothes, throwing a little Disney love in the mix along the way!”
And I’m so glad that she did!
First off, I don’t know about you, but I love to wear leggings when I’m in the parks. They are just so comfy and cute and they allow me to walk around all day without getting “baggy butt” (you know what I’m talking about – when your jeans or shorts start to loosen up throughout the day and start to sag, and you look like you have a diaper on).
Anyway, RainbowRules is totally killing it on the leggings selection. Just take a look at some of these designs!
Disney parks, Star Wars, Princesses – everything! Each design comes in the choice of Sports ¾ Capri, Sports Full Length, or Fleece Full Length.
So I’m thinking, it makes sense to buy each park as a legging for everyday I’m at Disney, right? Good. Thanks for helping me justify that.
Next, let’s talk about the dresses! I really like a simple dress for the summer and these dresses are so beautiful. Just name your favorite Disney movie and Julia has it covered on her store’s site. My personal favorites include the Cinderella Castle Rainbow Disney Painting Sleeveless Dress, the Disneyland Painting Sleeveless Dress, the Magic Kingdom Map Disney Sleeveless Dress, and the Tangled Disney Painting Sleeveless Dress. At only $32.99 each – I think I might have to add all of these to my birthday wish list!
Are there any “Foolish Mortals” out there who love the Haunted Mansion? Rainbow Rules has you covered! With everything from leggings, to skirt, to tank tops, to dresses, to cosmetic cases- you can ride your Doom Buggy in style.
RainbowRules also has you covered for Disney fashion for your home. Throw pillows, door mats, blankets, mouse pads, and even shower curtains come in a variety of patterns to make your home as magical as possible.
Okay, I think I’m done gushing for now.
“Having my own little shop is the most rewarding thing in the world, and I get such a kick out of my awesome customers sending me pictures of them wearing Rainbow Rules in the Disney parks!”
