Have you ever noticed all of the smells at Disney Parks? Of course, when you walk down Main Street USA you experience the scents of popcorn, ice cream, and apple pie. But what about the scents of classic Disney Parks attractions? The smell of Pirates of the Caribbean is something that lingers with you long after you are left your pirate ship. These inspired candles will help bring some of that Disney magic into your own home.
Etsy shop Maple and Whisky create Disney Parks inspired candles. Somehow, they have managed to bottle the scent of Pirates of the Caribbean and created a candle! And the scent descriptions that go along with the candles are pretty funny. For this candle, The Black Pearl, the scent is “damp, coldness, mildew, and water.”
Here is how Maple and Whisky describes this creation. “Our take on the famous Disney “Ride Water” scent! Our Pirates of the Caribbean themed candle sure is a musty one! We’ve tried to recreate that familiar damp, wet scent from the Disney Park water rides, particularly Pirates of the Caribbean! Disney actually uses a chemical called Bromine in their water which is what gives off that distinctive musty, damp scent. Obviously we can’t use that in our candles but we think we’ve got pretty dang close!!”

Tomb Sweet Tomb is another candle from their shop and is scented with “Sweet Musk, Patchouli and Ghostly Fizzes and Spices.” I really wonder what Ghostly Fizzes smells like. And do not worry, the description for this candle assures that it is approved by all 999 Happy Haunts. Well, that’s a relief!
Of course, if you are looking for a more traditional Disney inspired scent like Dole Whips, Soarin, or Mickey Waffles, they have all of those available too. Just head over to Maple and Whisky on Etsy to check out of all their Disney inspired scents.
