I’ve always looked for ways to bring that experience home – but, like everything that we bring into our personal space, I also wanted it to be beautiful and subtle. Like a secret that only we knew. A watercolor of Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. Framed patent application sketches of Doombuggies and the Peoplemover. And now, the Core Memory Candle collection. Buttery smooth waxes. Quietly burning wicks. We had the pleasure of meeting up with shop owner, Lisa, at the The House of Mouse Expo. Let’s just say that everyone from Disney Fashionista who visited the booth walked away with a bag full of goodies. Here is what we found and what we loved!

Our Favorite Core Memory Candles’ Scents:
Soar Candle
This layered 12 oz. candle is an immersive, ever changing experience meant to guide you through the scents of EPCOT’s Soarin’ Around the World. You’ll first stop briefly over Tanzania, where elephants throw earth into the air, before spending a bit more time sailing over the white marble domes of the Taj Mahal. Then, finally, you’ll settle in for even longer into the fresh ocean air over Fiji.
This layered candle was Michelle’s favorite, and we all loved the idea of experiencing a Disney attraction through scent at home.
Ocean Flight
This is the smell of Walt Disney World. It’s the Contemporary lobby and Disney’s Beach Club. It’s Soarin’ over Fiji and the vast expanse of ocean beneath the banshee on Flight of Passage.
Both Lindsay and I purchased the Ocean Flight Wax Melts for ourselves. I cannot wait for my home to smell like Walt Disney World!
Polynesia
There’s nothing quite like walking in the front doors of the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Whether you’re headed to that pool with its perfect castle views or dinner or for a drink with two shots of rum – it all starts in that lobby with its Hawaiian music and leis and the smell of hibiscus wafting through the air.
As soon as I smelled this one, I felt like I was on vacation! It is tropical without being overwhelming and calming without being boring. This is another scent that I picked up as a wax melt for myself.
Spa Day
Spa Day is sea salt and ozone with middle notes of jasmine, lily of the valley, and green leaves, all grounded in a base of wood and tonka bean. It is orchids and ocean air. It is my sanity when I don’t have a moment to find it anywhere else.
Speaking of relaxing, it’s time to have a Spa Day! Pour yourself a luxurious bath, use all the expensive bath bombs, soaps, and lotions that you have been saving, and treat yourself! Inspired by the Senses Spa, this scent is instantly calming and relaxing.

Riviera
Whether you are staying the night or visiting for a meal at Topolino’s Terrace, there’s something cozy and inviting about Disney’s Riviera Resort. A tour through Europe’s French and Italian Riviera coastline told through Walt’s eyes, it’s a sanctuary away from the bustle of the world. And the smell of the resort lobby is like nothing else. Here we bring it home with notes of bergamot and mandarin, jasmine, white tea, and chrysanthemum petals.
I have recently fallen in love with Disney’s Riviera Resort, and I instantly fell in love with this scent. Lisa told us this is one of their best sellers, and it’s easy to know why. When I brought home the wax melt, even my husband said this one was his favorite, and he is not big on scents in general. That’s high praise!
