Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Is Fun For All Ages

By Michelle | Updated on October 9, 2015

I was just at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival for a week and I had such a blast. I had reservations for many of the signature dining events, ate around the World Showcase and took part in Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak. Let me tell you this, it was way more fun than I expected!! I am a puzzle lover and I thought this was going to be pretty self explanatory but this was not as easy as you think… but it was tons of fun!

What you need to do to take part in Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak is go to one of the locations that sells the maps and stickers. You will pay $8 up front and that is basically paying for the limited edition pin you can pick up when you are finished. I won’t lie to you, you could easily just put the stickers in the spots and not ever partake in the game… but what’s the fun in that?? We had 4 adults playing the game and we had a blast!

Remy is hiding in all the core countries of the World Showcase. He is collecting all the ingredients he needs for the ratatouille recipe. He is one sly rat. He is hiding in some tricky locations for a few of the countries whereas in other countries, he is right out in the open. We happened to start with France, where he is super easy to spot, so we thought it would be that easy in every country. We were wrong.

Now, don’t think you can ask cast members to give you the answers, either. They will give you hints but they will not tell you. They are not going to destroy the game! It actually makes it even more fun to not be given the answer.

When you have placed all the stickers in the right place, you head on up to the shops at the beginning of the World Showcase and hand in your map. You actually get to keep your map as a souvenir but, if you show it to them, you can choose the limited edition pin of your choice from the selection. We chose Remy with a bottle of olive oil but I was torn between Remy with the salt shaker. All in all, it was a lot of fun and converted this non pin trader into and avid limited edition pin collector.

Have you done the Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak? What did you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below!
