Hey there fashionistas! If you follow Disney fashion (or read this blog!), you know that Minnie Mouse has been a huge source of inspiration for designers. Now, there is a new collection coming this spring to UNIQLO, and it’s all about Minnie’s fashion must-have; dots!
The collection is a collaboration with fashion designer Olympia Le-Tan, Uniqlo, and of course, Minnie Mouse. The “Minnie Mouse Loves Dots” collection is filled with must have Disney fashion!
To announce the new collection, Minnie Mouse was presented with a specially designed dress from Olympia Le-Tan at the Minnie Rocks the Dot VIP event. The custom dress is clearly inspired by Minnie’s iconic and original blue dress.
Designer Olympia Le-Tan had a lot to say about the collection on the Disney Style blog:
“Designing a dress for my favorite childhood icon was quite an exciting thing to do. I tried to stay true to what Minnie usually wears but adding my personal touch. The sequins make the dress rather festive, which is great as we are celebrating this new collaboration.”
“For this collection, we created new artwork and a new story, but with one of the most popular icons ever. For me that’s really special. We also tried to make it playful and quirky, but classic enough to be wearable by all.”
Like I mentioned before, the collection launches this Spring. And you can be sure, as soon as we have more info and images, we will share them!
