Last year, I saw my share of Thomas Kinkade art. The year started with a new Thomas Kinkade Disney calendar, which was hung up in my office in January. Then, it stayed in March for the majority of the year while I worked from home. I also have done several of his puzzles. Including a Sleeping Beauty one and a Tangled one that I am still working on. I plan on hanging them both up in my bedroom when I am done. The next piece of art by Thomas Kinkade that has come on my radar is the Disney Mickey and Minnie in Mexico piece. This artwork combines my love for Disney and Hispanic Culture in the most beautiful way possible!
In this print, Mickey and Minnie are dancing in the streets of Mexico. Some of the friends are also around for the adventure. Daisy watches the pair dance, while Donald waddles happily down the street. Even Goofy is there with a guitar in his hand. Pluto is staring a little bit too closely at a bucket full of treats. His tongue sticks out and I can almost feel the drool spraying from his mouth. Colorful flags with sugar sculls wave in the air above them. If you look closely, you can even see Chip and Dale up in one of the balconies. I can’t get over all of the wonderful colors in this print! It makes me feel like I am watching a real Mexican fiesta or Cinco de Mayo celebration.
The Disney Mickey and Minnie in Mexico artwork is part of Thomas Kinkade’s Passport to Adventure collection. In this collection, Mickey and Minnie travel to some of the top vacation hot spots of the world. This includes Greece, Hawaii, and even the Australian Outback!
