Star Wars Weekends have officially begun and they are taking the Disney Parks by storm! I was in Orlando this weekend and saw first hand how many Star Wars fans are out there. I saw people wearing capes, dressed as R2-D2 and wearing each and every Star Wars tee shirt ever made. It was fun to see. What I didn’t see was a lot of Star Wars purses. I am sure after this past weekend, that will change. The new Star Wars Weekend Dooney and Bourke bags have arrived and they are HOT! Let me show them to you and tell you how you can get them, if you aren’t planning on attending… or if they are sold out.
If these bags look familiar to you, they are. This pattern is the same one that was released for the Star Wars runDisney event a few months ago. The characters shown in the pattern are C-3PO, Yoda, and Darth Vader as well as a few others. The bag is black with blues and greens through out the pattern. I actually really like the color palette because, many times, the color palette is much lighter which is a lot easier to get dirty. The difference is the tag. It has been changed to state it is for Star Wars Weekends. I think these bags are so different than what we are used to seeing from Dooney and Bourke, with the Star Wars characters being the center of attention instead of Mickey or Princesses and the colors being so neon looking. It’s as it should be for this event. There are 3 different styles of bags and that means 3 different styles and prices. One of the totes is actually part of a set! They sold out of many items at the Galactic Gathering on Thursday and have no intentions of putting them online, that we know of. Fortunately, Courtney, from Mouse To your House, has them all available at this time! I’m so excited to give Star Wars fans a way of obtaining these bags!!
The above is my favorite because it is the in between size and it is easy to throw over your shoulder and head out. This one is super limited but Courtney still has a few available. If the letter carrier is the one you are desiring, you can find it HERE.
This is the shopper tote. I’m trying to make sure you can see the Star Wars Weekends tag on my bag. This bag has a zipper closure which is a nice feature if you are as paranoid as I am that people will just grab stuff out of your purse. This is a medium too large size bag so it is great for running errands and traveling. If this is the bag you’ve been hoping for, you can find it HERE.
This is the large tote and small wristlet. The wristlet is smaller than the one you can buy separately (which I will show you below in a minute) and you can only obtain this one with the large tote. They are a package deal. This is a larger tote but it is also a zip top! It is positively perfect for travel! It is pricier than the rest but it is two pieces. I know people there were saying they only wanted one of the two so they were planning on selling the one they didn’t want on ebay. I think the set is hot so I wouldn’t do that but to each his own. This bag is available HERE.
Above is the wristlet that you can buy separately and I’m holding it against the one that comes with the above tote. The larger one is the one that is sold separately. It is perfect for when you are just wanting to carry the essentials with you. It is also the most affordable! It is available HERE.
That’s it for the break down of the bags, now that I have seen them first hand. What do you think of the Star Wars Dooney and Bourke bags?? Are you excited to get one?? Let us know which one you like the best in the comment box below!!!
