The Candlelight Processional has a special place in my heart, so I am super excited that the Disney Parks Blog announced that it is returning on November 26th for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! It will run through December 30th, so you will have over a month to experience this fabulous event!
For those who may not know, the Candlelight Processional began in 1958 at Disneyland Park and in Walt Disney World Resort in 1971, first at Magic Kingdom Park and then at EPCOT since 1994! This fabulous event happens at America Gardens Theatre and includes a live orchestra, a cast choir, and a celebrity narrator retelling the traditional Christmas story. It truly is magical! Because of mitigating circumstances with the pandemic, this year will differ a bit in that choirs from around the country will not be involved. However, there will be a cast member choir filling the stage to ensure a fabulous show! Don’t worry though, the plan is to bring back the guest choirs next year! The full schedule including the celebrity narrators is still not finalized, and neither are the details about the iconic Candlelight Processional Dining Packages, but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all of that information!
