The Entrance To EPCOT Just Got More Magical!

By Lindsey N | Updated on December 23, 2020

Guests visiting the main entrance to EPCOT will now notice that the progress walls have been removed magically overnight to reveal the brand new entrance view!  This stunning reveal includes the first steps of the new vision for EPCOT including a more open entrance, new planters and pathways, lush landscaping, and a vibrant new color palette!  This stunning new color palette connects the four new lands, called neighborhoods, that will be inside the completed park–World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase!

In front of Spaceship Earth, you will spot a stunning new fountain!  This gorgeous piece is the main focus of the entrance plaza.  The original water feature that was there at the park’s opening inspired this new creation, but it includes a little extra modern magic.  The center of the fountain contains a high-tech new light that compliments the fountain’s changing colors!  It will also coordinate with the fabulous new lighting that you will be able to see around Spaceship Earth and World Celebration!  Three acrylic pylons standing over 16 feet tall feature the EPCOT logo and help draw your eye upward to point out the iconic Spaceship Earth!

Whether you prefer the water, the greenery, or the modern technology, this new entrance shows the harmony of humanity and the natural world and will help inspire you with optimism and belief in the magic of possibility!

For more information about this stunning new addition to one of my favorite parks, check out the Disney Parks Blog article HERE!

Are you as excited as I am to see this stunning new entrance in person?  Let us know in the comments below!

[…] think it would have been cool to incorporate park icons from Epcot and Hollywood Studios as well. But, that may have overwhelmed the design and I really do love it […]
