It’s Epcot Flower & Garden Festival opening day and that means a ton of merchandise is coming your way! We are starting with the very popular Dooney & Bourke Collection which is powered by Orange Bird this year!
We knew from the sneak peek that there was a tote and camera bag. We always hope for an additional silhouette and we were treated to another crossbody bag which can also be carried as a satchel! 3 silhouettes for 3 decades of the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
First, we have the tote ($298). This one is like many totes of the past, displaying a larger image of Orange Bird himself with the words Think Orange forming a pattern behind him. This bag is totally different than the other 2 as far as pattern goes and I think it’s my personal favorite.
Next is the camera bag ($228). This pattern is a smattering of sticker-like images featuring Orange Bird and Mickey shaped flowers. To me, this pattern is reminiscent of kitchens back in the 60s and early 70s! This makes total sense since Orange Bird was created in the late 60s and made his debut in 1971!
The surprise silhouette is the crossbody/satchel ($248). This silhouette is on the smaller size and closes with a flap, not a zipper. It has the same pattern as the camera bag but is a much more linear shape than the camera bag. It’s all about preference!
Notice that each bag comes with a hangtag telling us it has been 30 years of the festival! I can’t believe it but it makes sense to me because I remember coming to see the topiaries and gardens!
The lining of the bags is orange. Is it wrong that I would have liked it to be green? Maybe it’s just me but I was hoping for something to break up the orange.
