I don’t know how many of you will remember this but, back in the day, we had metal lunch boxes for school and even for work. I loved mine and, of course, it was always something Disney. I thought they had long since left us until recently, when I discovered they still exist!! Not only do they exist, but there are a ton of different designs!!! I know those of you who remember what I am talking about are probably just as excited as I was. Let me share some of the ones I found with you and direct you to a ton more!
1. Mickey Mouse Club
If I am flashing back, I am going all the way!! Who else remembers the original Mickey Mouse Club?? I love the bright colors, the design and what it represents! I found it HERE and it is still available for purchase!
2. Snow White Tattoo Lunch Tin
Snow White is the original princess and, though the tattoo design isn’t classic, it is a fun and updated twist on a classic for sure! It is a design by Loungefly and it is similar to those I have shown in the handbags during my Disney discoveries. I found this one HERE.
3. Monsters University
From old school to new school, I love the monsters from Monsters University!! I loved the story line and I love the logo print around the periphery of the lunch box. I think this lunch box is another design that could be unisex! I found it HERE.
4. Finding Nemo
I loved this Disney Pixar film and it represents one of the newer designs that couldn’t possibly have been around when I was young. In light of the fact that Finding Dory is coming out next year, I am sticking with this design as my number 4! It can be found HERE.
5. Disney Princess Ariel Comic Strip Lunch Box
Can you see the Disney Princess comic strip around the side of the lunch box? I love the pixilated image that really looks like it came straight out of a newspaper comic strip. It is the princesses with a twist. This is another Loungefly design and I found it HERE.
6. Aladdin and Jasmine
A movie that doesn’t get enough face time but at least the star couple of the film will, on the front of this vintage style lunch box! I am a huge fan! Now, if I could find a genie one… well that puppy would be mine! I found this one HERE.
7. Anna and Elsa
This is the lunch box of sisterly love! I think that the look these sisters are giving each other is adorable and I love the wintery theme. I think I would choose to have a lunch box for different seasons and this would clearly be my winter one! I found this one HERE.
8. Cars
I think this is a perfect little lunch box for boys OR it could be used to hold toy cars! That’s me trying to sound ingenious, btw. I don’t think this one would work for me but my nephew certainly would love it!! I found this one HERE.
9. Tinker Bell
I feel like this lunch box has a vintage feel like the first one I showed. The colors and the artistry both lean in that direction. I love that it isn’t a lunch box of all the fairies because Tink should stand alone!! I found this lunch box HERE.
10. Mickey and Minnie Mouse
I had to end with a classic picture of Mickey and Minnie Mouse in love. This one may not appeal as much to the younger generation but, for those of us who have been Disney fans for a very long time, this lunch box is the ticket!! Mickey and Minnie can be found HERE.
I can’t believe this isn’t even all the metal lunch boxes I found! I do love them, though. I think the newer plastic ones are fine and can certainly mold better when you try to stuff them full (there is an awesome selection at the Disney Store) but the metal ones are vintage and can withstand the test of time!!!
