One of the most recognizable characters, Mickey has undergone minimal changes in his century of existence. All over the world, men and women and most definitely children identify the beloved character with fondness. A new collection drops February 10th as UNIQLO celebrates Creativity with Mickey Faces designed by Disney’s top artists across the globe.

Yuquin Yang, Kaori Matsuo, and Nelson Riberio are the first three artists consecutively whose designs are shown above. According to Disney Parks Blog, Kaori Matsuo serves as a Lead Artist with Disney Consumer Products in Japan. Her vision of Mickey Mouse is designed to bring joy and warmth into the lives of others. As a Senior Graphic Designer, Nelson Riberio combined his work supporting Marvel with his role as a father as inspiration for his Mickey face design. His tribute to Mickey Mouse reflects his belief that storytelling, whether Marvel comics or his daughter’s cartoons, unite people and create memories.”

The next artist in Uniqlo’s collection is Catherine Chen, Senior Designer supporting Mickey and Friends in the US. Throwing back to the 1990s with the early Macintosh green screen computers, Catherine juxtaposes the manner in which art is created has evolved. From hand-drawn sketches to digital art, she even throws in an easter egg with the year 1928. Court Lomax gifts us with the final artwork in the collection.
Uniqlo Celebrates Creativity with Mickey Faces. The shirts are reasonably priced at $24.90 each and can be found at UNIQLO’S website HERE. But don’t go yet! The shirts are expected to drop mid-February around the 10th.
