It’s official: Mary Poppins Returns has taken the world by storm! Of course, the talented cast and the nostalgic film techniques get most of the credit for that, but Fashionistas are also in love with Emily Blunt’s wardrobe. Several clothing lines have released pieces inspired by the film, but the Unique Vintage collection has to be among my favorites!
The carousel scene in the original Mary Poppins has always been my favorite! It’s whimsical, fun, and sweet all at the same time. There are two skirts in this collection that pay homage to the carousel. The black and pink one has a color scheme that we don’t usually associate with Mary Poppins, but I love it! The horses pop against the black background and you can see the fantastical details of each one. The red and white skirt has a more traditional Mary Poppins feel. It captures the spirit of the carousel scene perfectly! Each skirt is $72. (And those fabulous shoes are also available on the website!)
Unique Vintage is famous for combining retro designs with modern flair, and these outfits certainly showcase that talent! These vintage skirts look chic and stylish paired with fun graphic tees. “Practically Perfect in Every Way” is an iconic Mary Poppins statement (and also a pretty accurate description of this collection,) but my favorite is the “Cheeky” tee. The mirror and the hat are adorable and represent Mary Poppins in a more understated way. It retails for $32 while the Practically Perfect tee is $28.
I have always been a little bit in awe of Mary’s ability to look stylish and sophisticated in her cold weather gear. This coat with the removable cape makes it easy though. Whether you are headed to the office or feeding the birds, you’ll look impeccable! It retails for $218.
Fashionistas never underestimate the power of accessories! Mary’s hat and umbrella add extra pizazz to any outfit, and that penguin purse is beyond adorable! The hat is $42, the bag is $28, and the umbrella is $32.
Accessories go beyond just the things that you wear. Take a look through Instagram, and you’ll see that the perfect prop makes the perfect picture. This mug has my favorite Mary Poppins quote, “A Spoonful of Sugar,” along with colorful graphics. It complements the clothing pieces perfectly and just looks like a mugful of fun! It costs $16.
