Can you believe the moment you’ve been waiting for has almost arrived? It feels like yesterday I was taking my family to Splash Mountain one more time before they closed. But on June 28th, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens at WDW with a thrilling new ride and vivacious new merchandise! Make sure you check out our video preview of the ride! We’re Almost There!
On June 5th, Disney Parks Blog treated us to merchandise sweeter than beignets! Let’s start with the basics: Ears, Loungefly, and Spirit Jersey. As the Spirit Jersey states, ‘It’s a Joyful Celebration” indeed. Both the spirit jersey and mini backpack utilize the color palette of Mardi Gras in shades of purple, green, and gold. The Loungefly depicts Tiana, Naveen, Mama Odie, and Louis on the front pocket with the water tower and other landmarks on the bag. I see Louis riding the log flume on the spirit jersey. Now that sounds like a wild ride! Top it off with new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ears created specifically for the new attraction.
There’s plenty of new merchandise for the whole family! But never trust someone who has a “Shortcut to the bayou.” Ray is my daughter’s favorite character in the animation and she’s going to light up over the new Interactive Firefly, literally. These little pals “light up when they’re near each other to say hello.” Need some comfort? Reach for the Louis Cuddleez plush animal or Tiana doll, dressed in her new outfit. The most genius new product is the themed waterproof bag created to keep your phone and other valuables dry during the 50-foot plummet.
All this adventure sure can make you hungry! If you’re hankerin’ for a snack the stores will have a bounty of items to choose from. (mom tip: Get the lollipop holder to store the uneaten candy)
Once you’re home you’ll want to have a souvenir of your adventures in Florida. Tiana’s Restaurant fund can is a great way to save for your next Disney vacation and enjoy some chocolate coins as you save. From a figurine to a mug, tiered trays, and decorative pillows, there are plenty of options to bring home a little bit of the bayou. Don’t forget the seasonings!
Tiana’s new merchandise is available starting June 28th at the Emporium on Main Street. Soon after the ride opens, you’ll be able to visit the Critter Co-op in Frontierland for shopping and even meeting some of Tiana’s new friends!
