Disney has finally released some more information about the Minnie #RockTheDots event, and it sounds like a polka dotted party of fun! The event is happening this Sunday, January 22, at Disney Springs in the Walt Disney World area and at Downtown Disney in the Disneyland Resort. From the information given, it looks like most of the events take place from 1-5 pm.
At Disney Springs, there will be special entertainment complete with dance parties and photo ops at the Town Center. All guests are encouraged to wear polka dots, and there will be special discounts, promotions, and commemorative buttons for those who do. For example, Basin is offering a 10% discount and Vera Bradley will have a gift with purchase available. There are several restaurants participating in the event as well. Sprinkles will even be offering polka dot cupcakes! The promotion that I am most excited for is Sephora‘s “mini” makeovers! I can’t wait to be a part of that! The Downtown Disney festivities are very similar to the ones at Disney Springs. There will be a DJ dance party at the Downtown Disney Live! stage from 1-5 pm, and it will include photo ops. Commemorative buttons are available at World of Disney, Marceline’s Confectionary, and Vault 28. Character greets are not mentioned in the information, but I have my ears crossed that Minnie will make an appearance.
Remember that you need to be wearing dots to take advantage of the fun deals and to receive your button. So, Fashionistas, don’t forget to #RockTheDots!

I wish I could be there already but I’ll have to rock the dots at home! I just got really lucky though. I went to Target and happened to find the Mickey and Minnie earhat shoes! I figured they were sold out and I wouldn’t have another opportunity, but there they were. I’ll be wearing them this weekend (inside only if it’s raining) and just waiting until I can be there in person.
