For several weeks, we’ve been sharing our excitement about Dapper Days at Walt Disney World, and now it’s finally here! On Friday night, I popped into Disney Springs for Dapper Day Eve. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I had a fabulous time exploring all the different dapper touches around Disney Springs.
Several stores joined in the celebration: Sephora and MAC both offered mini-makeovers, and many of the Sephora cast members were sporting fascinators and other vintage inspired accessories. My favorite perk of the night came from skin care extraordinaire Kiehl’s, which was offering complimentary hand massages. I was assisted by Margaret, who not only was very knowledgeable about her products, but also gave me a sneak peek of an upcoming, limited edition tin by artist Jeff Koons. The tin is fabulous and will be released on Tuesday. Check the Kiehl’s website for all the details.
Even some of the restaurants got into the dapper spirit! NYC Bakery gave away mini-cupcakes to any guest dressed for the occasion; they had to switch to chocolate chip cookies later in the evening because of the demand. Amorette’s Patisserie had a special fascinator dome cake, which was a chocolate chiffon cake with white chocolate mousse and chocolate pudding. It was a work of edible art! Starbucks also created a special drink menu available this weekend only! The SophisTeaCated Tea was especially pretty!
And of course, the real stars of the evening were the lovely fashionistas I had a chance to meet! I loved seeing the creativity and personal style that went into each outfit! A very special thanks to these beauties for letting me use their pictures!
Commemorative photo ops have become quite the thing during Disney events, and this one did not disappoint! Photo pass photographers roamed around the Fountain Stage with a vintage postcard prop stating Wish you were here. The stage was also the site of some swing dancing and fun music! Chapel Hats hosted a photo booth inside their store, and it was a headwear playground! They always have such fun and amazing pieces! And speaking of fun and amazing, Disney Floral and Gifts has a pop-up location in the Dress Shop with pieces guaranteed to make you smile! The large, feathered number I’m wearing in the above picture is an example of the unique items they carry.
After getting a small taste of Dapper Days, I can’t wait to experience the rest of the events this weekend! Will you be there as well? Let us know in the comments!
