Dark Side Half Marathon Dooneys are Frighteningly Fabulous

It’s almost time for the Dark Side Half Marathon weekend at Walt Disney World, and I am getting excited! I am definitely not a runner, but I always look forward to the runDisney events simply because I love the merchandise! The themed Dooney and Bourke bags never disappoint, and this year is no exception. The color scheme is red and black, and these bags are fierce! The letter carrier and wristlet styles feature Darth Vader, arguably the most recognizable character in the Star Wars franchise, along with a few characters that don’t regularly appear on much merchandise, such as an Imperial Guard and a fighter pilot. Each character’s face is divided in half, with one half being predominantly red and the other predominantly black. These bags certainly make a statement! The tote is the newer style tote with the slightly gathered top and the three separate inside sections. This bag still carries the half black, half red color scheme, but Darth Vader is the only character who appears on it. That large face divided into two such severe colors is terrifying in the best possible way! The letter carrier and tote styles also feature a hang tag with the event name and year. The hang tags make these bags the perfect way to commemorate a pretty awesome achievement!

As of right now, these bags will only be available at the runDisney expo April 21-23. However, the last few marathon exclusive bags have appeared on the Shop Parks App and in Disney Park stores just a few weeks after the events. It will be interesting to see if this one does as well.
